Summer Update

I just love her smile!
This was Makenna when she was only a few weeks old. She was so tiny.
Ace and the boys. He is the best uncle and loves his nephews.
Addie, Ty and their bubble blowers...
So if you know Tyler well, you know how much he loves his blankie. I thought this was so cute. He tucked his little sister in with HIS blankie. He really loves her so much.

One of those days when they dress themselves. His waist is through one of the leg holes!
Strike a pose...
This was our first attempt at the whole family going to church. Both kids fell asleep with their dad.
We watched Cort's kids one night and they all flocked to Joel.
We decided to re-do our fire place. I like this much better.

Mitchy and Ty at the zoo.
Cole and Ty at the zoo.

She looks way different when her hair isn't sticking straight up. :)
Joel and Makenna hula-hooping at a party. This is some serious talent.

Getting ready to go to the splash pad.

Makenna's Blessing

My mother-in-law made this gorgeous dress for Makenna. Isn't it beautiful? We had a very special day and I just love my little girl.

Makenna is here...

We were scheduled to have our little girl on May 11, but she decided she wanted to get here a little sooner than that - so I had to go through labor again...

She was born on Friday May 8th at 5:52am. She was 5 lb 8 oz and 19 inches long. She has TONS of dark black hair. She got so many compliments from everyone that saw her. Every nurse said something about it. I was asked by one nurse if my husband was Hawaiian or Samoan and another asked if he was Latino. One nurse told me that every time she took her back and forth to the nursery, she was stopped by other people in the hall to comment on her hair. One of the nurses that worked in the nursery came to pick her up one day for the hearing test and she said, "Oh, you're the one with the cutest baby!" Another one of my nurses on my last day at the hospital told me, "Do you know that everyone is just talking about how beautiful your baby is?" I'm not sure where Makenna got the good looks from. :) She must have gotten all her black hair from Joel though.

She has been such a good baby. I was really worried because Tyler was so hard, but she has been such an angel. We are just so glad she's here and she's healthy. Tyler is so sweet to her. He just loves his little sister.

Shower

Joel's family threw a shower for me at the Cheesecake Factory yesterday. It was so good for all the girls to get together and just hang out. We had a great time and everyone was sooo generous. Thank you everyone for all the awesome gifts and the fun time.

Joel's sister Chelsey made me this beautiful cake for the shower. Isn't she so creative!! I love it. She has a really neat talent at making and creating awesome cakes. This isn't the only cute one she's made. If you're interested in a custom cake for any occasion, check out her site at http://sweetandprettycakes.blogspot.com/.
